Hi frnds i hav a rc car and im planning to use its machinery to make a rc plane on my own.
I hav a model of plastic plane which is exactly as a boeing. Frnds ill be glad if u support me wit ur answers.
Most plastic model kits are not strong enough and are too heavy to be converted to flight use. Plus, they have no provision for flight controls. If you want a R/C model airplane, you should go to someplace like Hobbytown USA and buy a purpose made kit.

i got a few ideas for on-board power generating and i would need help setting up resistors and that
crap over there.
1) solar powered engine starter.
the nitro engines run using a glow plug which is lit by a 1.2 volt, 1700mA glow stick. you stick it on, flip the propeller, the engine starts, then you remove the glow stick and take-off.
now, what if a solar panel used a few resistors to get this same power but constantly going into the glow plug? you would just have to spin the prop to get it started again. the engine would never stall.
2) solar powered flight battery charger.
the battery (that powers servos and receiver) is 4.8 volt (DC) and 600 mAh. the battery CAN be charged while in use. i'm not good with resistors and i don't know how i could make the panel give out no more than 4.8 volts and 600 mAh. it would be cool because i would never have to charge my airplane. just my controller.
3) solar powered rc glider.
rc glider with solar panels powering an electric motor
4) wind powered battery charger
same as the solar powered charger but with an electric motor with a prop being spun by wind to generate power
1. That takes a lot of solar panel, a lot of weight, just in case the engine stalls? doesn't seem worth it. 1.2 x 1.7 = 2 watts. That will be about 50 square inches, or 7" x 7". Now you could use a smaller panel and a large capacitor to store some of the power, but that gets complicated also.
2. same problem, carry the extra weight when you can charge the battery before the flight.
3. This is more like it. Needs a lot of design work, and of course there is the problem of when the sun ducks behind a cloud.
4. Doesn't work. the extra drag from the second prop will be more than the power recovered. Perpetual motion machines are not possible.

All methods involve water balloons filled with water that 1 or more people farted constantly in.
1) RC AIRPLANE/HELICOPTER:
You load em up with water balloons containing FART loaded water. When they reach mission target, bombs away.
2) MODEL ROCKET:
Fires high up into the sky above your victim. Then the fuselage tears apart and the waterballoons fall down.
3) HELIUM BALLOON:
You strap one or more helium balloons to a small soft cloth woven basket. Inside are a handful of your stinky waterballoons. When it ascends high enough, the helium balloons pop. And well, may god have mercy on whoever the water b's land.
4) RC CAR WITH PNEUMATIC LAUNCHER:
You drive it up to mission target and then activate the pneumatic launcher. Up goes the water balloon.
5) SMART WATERBALLOON BOMBS:
With GPS and laser gyroscope gadgetry, you rig up a "bomb" aparatus. It's got fins on the side. When the "bomb" is released, it then flies toward your target and tears apart, releasing the mighty fart waterballoons.
6) MIRV MODEL ROCKETS:
Basically you have one large ass model rocket. Inside are a bunch of smaller self-guiding waterballoon carrying rockets. The mother rocket reaches suitable destination and altitude. It then blows off the warhead and releases all the little rockets.
7) PIRATE RADIO:
Unfortunately only the sound gets transmitted. Your aparatus stores a CD quality audio sample of your fart. Then it plays it to the radio transmitter, which rapidly hops throughout the entire frequency spectrum. No matter what frequency tuned into, everyone hears your butt.
RC SUBMARINE:
Just like real submarines, they can stay deep and send missiles right up through the water.
I feel so insecure, I had no idea I was this exposed to a fart thousands of miles away

i believe its called "remote control" or something similar, but it is about a boy who has all types of model airplanes and helicopters and cars. He runs away and takes all his rc planes and stays in the attic of this model home and some thieves come and he is stuck up there. Any help would be appreciated. Also where i might find this movie would be helpful, i saw it when i was a kid and it really got me into rc planes. Thanks Guys.
Remote (1993)
starring Chris Carrara, Jessica Bowman, John Diehl, Tony Longo, and Stuart Fratkin
IMDb synopsis:
"Home Alone" clone about a 13-year-old boy obsessed with remote-control toys, decides to put them to use when he's trapped in a vacant model suburban house with three moronic prison escapees. He proceeds to make mincemeat out of the unsuspecting, bumbling criminals.
IMDb review:
The story is about young genius who makes his own world out of remote-control toys that help him entertain himself. He has a lot of planes and helicopters, dolls, etc. He also has two very good friends. One day, his mother prohibits him from playing with his toys. So, he finds some other place to play with them and ends up facing three local robbers who came to the same site.

i just bought a Sapac Extra 330L electric rc airplane and noticed an empty space inside the fuselage with a straw leading to a hole in the bottom where demonstration smoke comes out in the real full scale aircraft (mine is a scale model), and i was wondering if this is actually what it's for, a small smoke machine. and if it is does anyone know where to get one? i live in Victoria, Australia
MOST smoke units use the exhaust heat of the engine to generate the smoke from the smoke oil.
All I can suggest for an electric model is try the various hobby websites.
ANY electric method would have to generate chemical smoke rather than oil smoke or it would require way too much power in order to generate sufficient heat; BUT it IS possible.

Haven't seen any smoke systems for electrics, but I'd sure be interested on one if it were available, and viable. Check with Precision Aerobatics .com. they have a lot of good equipment.

I've been trying to find an rc helicopter/submarine/airplane/etc… kit that doesn't come pre-assembled. In essence, I'm trying to search for something rc that comes with all the parts (motors, servos, remote control etc.) and maybe a video camera for the rc model.
Price range from 0-$500
go to a hobby shop and ask for what you want… I am sure they can help you

I'm trying to teach a parakeet to fly a model airplane. I've modified a RC airplane so that it can be flown by a parakeet. I just need advice on how to teach a parakeet how to do tricks. Any advice would be appreciated.
Its not possible, the parakeet would never learn to fly the airplane.

I am considering buying a rc model kit plane. the kit is a great planes piper cub 20. It was recommended to use a "O.S. 15LA Non-ring 10G Carburetor 871 Muffler", this is from america, but could anyone tell me if the fuel in the UK would work in this engine? As i comes with 10% airplane fuel. But in the UK it is 16%
Also should i buy the radio and servos from america as it is cheaper or should i get it in the UK? Is there a difference in the voltage or is it batteries used?
The only difference I know of with the fuel is that a US gallon is different from a UK gallon. I can't remember if it's bigger or smaller, but it is different. The actual make up of the fuel is exactly the same though, 16% nitro will be 16% nitro wherever you buy it.
Check with your local hobby shop (but make sure you specify it's for a plane, the fuel is different for cars and planes and helicopters) I found this website where you can get 10% nitro fuel…
http://www.revolutionmodels.co.uk/acatalog/Top_Fuel_5.html
It doesn't matter if it's exactly the same brand of fuel.
The voltage will be the same, and the batteries will be the same for UK and US. If you can get it cheaper in the US then go for it. You will probably have to supply your own batteries, but if it's like a nitro RC car you can use normal rechargeable AA batteries.
I'm surprised they are supplying the fuel though, there are restrictions on shipping that kind of fuel because it is so flammable. You might have to double check with the company you are ordering from what happens about the fuel.
