model airplane questions, wondering if i should start?
hello second message thingy i made of this in case my other doesn't get read on the less read subjects lmao… anyways i was wondering what companies i should buy from for model airplanes… if glue together or snap together is better, i'm guessing glue cus it sounds harder and better quality… if there are some tips i should take note of… if there are other kinds of model airplanes besides glue and snap… and i am not interested in RC, just want one i can make and put on a stand and enjoy for the ages to come… i am 14 so maybe there is a type of model airplane easier for my young age than the more seasoned veterans of modeling… your help in answering these questions would very much be appreciated… and maybe there is a question i should have asked that i didn't so if u have personal advice, i'd be happy to hear it.
Meant to mention this is the other question I answered. The links I gave you are to a reputable company. Don't be scared off that they're in Japan; I've ordered from them more times than I can count and never had any problems.
To get started for your first kit, though, you should probably go local. Search for hobby shops in your area (like Bob's Hobby Shop, not the model department of some big box store), look around, and ask about beginning kits, and the supplies you'll need. You'll probably want some paint and glue to start out with, and they may have some beginner or basic sets available.
Building is a fun hobby. Plan on getting addicted!!
